Remove the top then the bottom of the pineapple on a board which allows you to collect the juice. Use a knife to remove the cask-shaped peel in one piece and take out the pulp. Cut the pulp into 8 slices and remove the core. Dice the remaining pulp. Slice two oranges. Peel the remaining oranges and remove the pith around the segments, dice. Put the cask-shaped peel of the pineapple in the middle of a serving dish. Fill with the diced fruit, mixed with the sliced bananas. Dust with sugar. Arrange the round slices around and decorate with the candied fruits and the filled dates. Serve with a syrup which you prepare by boiling the sugar moistened with 1/2 a glass of water and the fruit juice for 5 minutes.
